Our trip to the Crystal Bridges Museum in Northwest Arkansas was the highlight of the year for me. I applied for a grant to take my students. Our trip was fully funded, with transportation, substitutes and lunch. Our tour guide lead the students in a discussion of this painting.
Secondly, after studying Dr. Seuss' political cartoons and making political cartoons of our own, the Fine Arts Council paid for the art students to go see Dr. Seuss' The Lorax.
